This image was taken on a very early morning with a friend of mine who is always willing to do anything for the image. When I asked her that morning, in the darkness of pre-dawn, to strip down and wrap herself in some Ace bandages that I purchased the night before, she very quickly (though shiveringly) obliged. As the sun just started to hit the land, I covered her in very cold baby powder and had her jump in the air as I captured the motion. The baby powder flew all over the place, and because the background was dark the baby powder caught the light. I used some compositing in order to create the exact pose that I wanted. My goal was to photograph a warrior being born of the land, hence the choice in wild hair and bandages to cover the subject.
