this photo shows german professional skateboarder michi von fintel performing a frontside ollie at one of the best and most fascinating spots i've ever been. my friend, skateboardfilmer torsten frank, had seen this place nearly ten years ago in a local skatevideo and tried to find out where this fullpipe was eversince. finally, nearly a decade later, a local skateboarder told him where this secret place was and we invited one of germanys best skaters and went there, deep into the middle of nowhere in the alps and had an awesome skatesession. all the waitingtime was worth it - just being in that place was impressive. on this photo i didn't want the skater to be a silhouette so i had to use 3 flashes for lighting. it was a little tricky to get a create a nice light on the rider without having the flashes in the picture, especially because he was wearing black pants and i wanted to place him before a black background. but with a little help of duct tape i could fix one flash in the oververt of the pipe which also got a nice accent on the dust that was blown off by his jump.a
