This is a very secluded part of the rugged Oregon coastline at Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. I was here for a sunset shot at low tide on a mostly sunny evening in February, a very rare occurrence indeed for Oregon to have all this come together at once. These pools formed in just a matter of minutes with the outgoing low-tide. I knew I had a special scene before me, and as usual I started shaking and babbling to myself, even though no one was there to hear me – thank goodness!
