About the Shot
AZULE This image is definitely a story. I took this on one of the many visits to Big Sur. The way the water moved and the trees almost shape a tunnel for it, and with the wood background it made all the elements I was looking for. Unfortunately with the sunlight shining through the trees over the flowing water, made it impossible for a good long exposure. Had to wait to complete pitch black darkness to avoid any spotting from the light. I had been playing with multiple exposures for hours on the river now so I had everything calculated. With wild animals running through the bushes and the chance of being attacked by an angry turkey. I quickly set my camera for a 3 minute exposure, adjusted my polarizer to avoid any ambient light shine and opened it up.
The blue water and the relaxing feeling that comes from staring at this image giving it a name that fits it was not hard. Azule.
