ABYSS Las Vegas has always been a muse for me. I think it has some of the most unique photography when it comes to night photos. As most us know the desert offers some amazing colors with the sunset. However, I had never seen an image of the Las Vegas strip with some color. I knew my next mission for my photo. Find a purple sky and hit it while the city lights are on. Now with a shot like this I wanted to get up high enough to expose the entire landscape of the strip. I positioned myself on a terrace at one of the nearby resorts. Facing North, I had perfect view of what I thought represented the Las Vegas strip. It took multiple trips to catch the rewarding colors that I was searching for. I took one look at the image through my view finder and saw the Abyss that was created by the sky. When the sun hit the horizon and the colors changed to deep magenta I clicked the shutter and knew this was what I had been waiting for.
