About the Shot
This was shot around the islands off Semporna town in Sabah, Malaysia. The islands are mainly inhabited by the Bajau people who have migrated from islands in the Sulu sea. They are an indigenous ethnic group of sea going people. Even today they live right on the water and alternate towards shore during the monsoon months. Fishing and seaweed farming are their main source of income. These islands, which are commonly known as Semporna after the small port town on the mainland, are famous for its diving spots.
