About the Shot
In April 2012, Fiji suffered it's worst flooding to date. Thousands of people were displaced from their homes as flood waters raged through the area of Nadi for 5 days reaching up to the second and third stories of shops and houses. Shelters were set up all over town to accommodate the thousands of people until water levels regressed. This is an image of a young girl who had lost her home and was camping out with her family at a school turned make-shift shelter for the victims of the floods.
Shot with a Canon 5D Mark ii and 50mm f1.4 lens.
