Location: Tien Shan Mountains, Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. Never in my wildest imaginations did I think I would go skiing in a place called Kyrgyzstan. Yet, through a series of events, that is where I found myself this past winter. We were ski touring for a week, based out of a Yurt. Avy conditions had been treacherous the day before and we all found ourselves treading lightly on the first day. On our first full day of ski touring, our group headed up into the terrain that was fresh to all of our eyes. Vast expanses of continuous mountains and endless lines. With the alignment of both sunlight and snowfall simultaneously, this image was captured showcasing the magic nature of the region.
