HARMONY Getting the ultimate aspen shot looks so easy, but to find perfect white straight trunks with peaking color has been one of my greatest challenges. I also wanted depth, a tunnel effect, leading your eye into the shot. I also needed overcast skies with a shift of light to give the shot a nice fell. After 12 days straight I reckon I looked at every birch tree in Colorado! Finally I felt right at this cluster. It was a crisp overcast fall morning, the smell of the forest floor filled my lungs and the trees stood in absolute silence. I knew that I had the ultimate aspen shot.
