Mad Men and 1950's Hollywood Glamour As a kid I grew up watching all the old Hollywood classics and right now I'm loving Mad Men - the 1950-1960's advertising show. It's funny how a photo can take you immediately back to a time, how we reminisce - our minds selective recalling the good times and conveniently fudging over the bad - in many ways our memory like a Photoshop retouch - sharpening the good and blurring imperfections. It's a survival thing - we're attracted to beauty like bees to flowers - aspiring for more and seeking higher goals - like a young starlet seeking fame, fortune and love.
