A special place on the South Island of New Zealand, I was treated with a cloudbank that obscured the sunrise and made for spectacular light and colour. The cloudbank move as the sun rose and made the sunrise last for over an hour. This was my third trip to the area; we also enjoyed a show of dolphin and whales migrating off the coast. This image was one exposure and was tricky to get both the detail in the clouds and the foreground rocks.
